Tesla paint is soft and chips easy, and the front end takes a beating. We protect Model 3, Y, S, X, and Cybertruck with paint protection film, ceramic coating, and window tint, done by the guys who actually do the work.
Film, gloss, and tint. Most Tesla owners end up combining all three. Here’s exactly what each one does and what’s included.
Film
Paint Protection Film
Teslas leave the factory with famously thin, soft paint that starts chipping the moment you hit the highway. Our paint protection film lays a clear, self-healing urethane layer over the panels that take the most abuse, so rock chips, sand, and road salt hit the film instead of your finish. Go with a partial front for the essentials or full-body coverage for total peace of mind, in gloss or stealth matte.
A System X ceramic coating bonds to the paint and locks in a deep, glossy finish that beads water and shrugs off dirt. Your Tesla stays cleaner between washes, resists swirls and water spots, and keeps that just-detailed look for years. Every coating starts with a full paint correction, so we seal in flawless paint instead of the swirls it came with.
Ceramic window tint does far more than darken the glass. It rejects a large share of the sun’s heat so your cabin stays cooler and the battery works less to keep up, blocks over 99% of the UV rays that fade and crack your interior, and cuts glare on long drives. Dialed-in shades for every window, backed by a lifetime warranty.

The smart setup
PPF up front. Ceramic over the top.
The setup most Tesla owners land on is paint protection film on the high-impact areas, then a ceramic coating over the whole car. The film takes the physical hits, and the ceramic adds gloss and makes washing easy. Tint the windows to cut the heat, and the car is dialed in. We’ll help you build the right combination for how you drive and how long you’re keeping it.

The work that Dan and his team do is done with great detail and attention. They make sure that everything has been done with care and quality craftsmanship. They are not pushy on selling you things you don’t need, they listen to you and provide adequate recommendations. I would recommend going to Detail Tech before looking anywhere else. We have taken three cars there already! Everyone that works there is very kind and polite and cares about what they do. Thank you!

I had a great experience with Detail Tech! I brought my dad’s CTS-V in for an exterior detail and had two other vehicles tinted. The staff was professional, friendly, and easy to work with from start to finish. Kevin and Dan are extremely knowledgeable, offer very reasonable pricing, and clearly take pride in their work. Everything turned out fantastic. Highly recommend!

Outstanding quality work and good pricing. I drive an Audi that’s in great condition for its age but has some regular driving wear. They practically got rid of the scratches on my hood and cleaned the rear bumper up wonderfully. My interior looks better now than when I bought the car from the dealership. Overall I am very satisfied.

Kevin, Dan, and all of the guys at Detail Tech did a great job on both mine and my wife’s new vehicles. I got the 10 year ceramic coating on my 2026 Durango GT and had the front windows tinted to match the backs. I would recommend this business to anyone. Their work and professionalism is top notch, and their pricing is definitely fair. Great job guys!
They benefit a lot from it. Tesla paint is on the softer side and chips easily, and the front end is exposed, so film makes a real difference in keeping it looking new.
Should I do PPF or ceramic on my Tesla?
They do different jobs. PPF is a physical shield against chips and scratches. Ceramic is a chemical layer for gloss and easy cleaning. A lot of owners do both, PPF up front and ceramic over the top.
Which Teslas do you work on?
All of them. Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X, and Cybertruck.
Can you tint a Tesla, including the glass roof?
Yes, we tint Teslas, and we’ll walk you through options for the windows and the roof to cut heat and glare.
How long does it take?
It depends on the service and coverage. Tell us your Tesla and what you want, and we’ll give you a real timeline with your quote.
